Terms of Service

These terms apply to every purchase made through dalux.lighting, operated by Dalux Lighting (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka ("Dalux Lighting", "we", "us"). By placing an order you accept them. If anything here is unclear, contact us before ordering.

1. Orders and acceptance

An order is placed when you complete checkout and receive an order code. It becomes a binding sale once we confirm receipt of your payment. We may decline or cancel an order before that point — for example if an item is out of stock or was listed at an obviously incorrect price — and will tell you promptly if so.

2. Prices

All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include VAT at the prevailing rate. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you place the order. Prices may change at any time, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that order.

LED strips and aluminium profiles are priced by length as configured on the product page. The configured length, cut plan and total are shown before the item is added to your cart and again at checkout.

3. Payment

We accept payment by bank transfer only. After checkout you will see our account details and receive them by email. Please use your order code as the transfer reference and send us the payment slip by WhatsApp or email so we can match it quickly.

Stock is reserved for you when the order is placed. If we have not received payment within 7 days, the order is cancelled automatically and the items are released. We will email a reminder before that happens, and you are welcome to place a new order at any time.

4. Delivery

We deliver island-wide within Sri Lanka. Delivery times, charges and the free-delivery threshold are set out in our Shipping & Returns page. Delivery estimates are given in good faith but are not guaranteed; we are not liable for delays caused by couriers, weather or events outside our control.

5. Returns, faults and warranty

Our returns process and product warranty terms are described on the Shipping & Returns page, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Affairs Authority Act of Sri Lanka.

6. Product information

We take care to describe products accurately, including lumen output, wattage, colour temperature and IP rating as supplied by the manufacturer. Photographs are for illustration; light colour in particular can look different on screen. If a specification matters for your installation, please check with us before ordering.

Electrical products must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and local regulations. Where installation by a qualified electrician is required, that is your responsibility.

7. Your account

You can order as a guest or create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity under your account. Please keep your contact details up to date so we can reach you about your order.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses such as loss of business or the cost of installation labour arising from a delayed or faulty product, beyond what the law requires.

9. Intellectual property

The content of this site — text, photographs, configurator tools and branding — belongs to Dalux Lighting or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force when you place an order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
